Votes for Women Exhibit Preview Available Online
In honor of Women's History Month, a preview of Votes for Women, a women's suffrage exhibition opening in November 2017, is posted on the New York State Museum website.
Votes for Women will celebrate the centennial of women's suffrage in New York State and raise public awareness of the struggle for women's suffrage and equal rights in New York from the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention through 1917 when the state granted women the right to vote.
The online preview features photos of artifacts that will be included in the exhibition as well as a list of sites throughout the state that will display a six-panel traveling exhibition on women's suffrage.
